Biography
Born in Ichinoseki in Iwate Prefecture in 1986, Ayaka Komatsu begins in modeling world around 2003, by winning an audition of the fashion magazine CANDY. Helped by her agency Amuse, she is chosen a few months later to be one of the main heroines in live drama adaptation of the famous manga Sailormoon: magazines then seriously interest in this young girl who likes to wear only a few clothes. Towards the end of the series in 2004, her pictures turn more and more sensual, bikini photos constituting the majority of her work. She integrates the same year a very Japanese idea, a group of girls posing in underwear. This kind of "Grabia girlsband", whose name is Nittelegenic 2004, is organized annually by the television group TV-Nihon, with the goal to spotlight the girls involved.
Ayaka releases two idol-videos and a photobook under this concept and then devotes her carrer to a grabia one, with the usual activites : TV apparearances, TV and Internet commercial, photo shoots for various magazines, and several releases of photobooks and idol-videos. Ayaka also tried singing with her role in Sailormoon (she was playing Minako Aino / Sailorvenus, a music idol), resulting in a mini-album. We also can see her in many Japanese movies and TV shows, including an episode of the television variation of the horror film One Missed Call, untitled Chakushin Ari. For more personnal information, it is known that her talents include table tennis and the Nihon Buyo (a Japanese traditional dance) and that she has two older brothers and a younger sister. Ayaka hates cream but loves filling her iPod of music and browsing online stores. She would have remained close friends with the rest of the cast of the Sailormoon live drama.
